PlanMaster for Transportation Planning

In 2002, the Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority (TransLink) needed a better way to involve the public in its Long-Range Transportation Plan. Facet delivered Your Transportation Future, a web-based decision support system that helped TransLink educate and involve the public in the planning process. Investment options to help them and the public understand what Vancouver might look like in the future with different transportation choices.

TransLink found that the tool:
   - Improved public awareness and understanding of transportation issues in the GVRD.
   - Elicited public preferences for transportation investments and payment options.
   - Facilitated successful completion of TransLink's Long-Range Transportation Plan.
